Making movies.

Some years ago, before I began focusing on live performance of music, I wrote a track called Hypnosis. Using stock footage from pexels.com I created a short movie for this piece.
I desaturated all the video clips and applied some blur and light-bleeding effects. This tied together all the footage (which was shot by several different contributors to the stock-footage site) stylistically and gave the kind of dystopian dreamlike quality I was after. The success of this technique has definitely encouraged me to start looking at how to use colour grading and post-processing effects for future projects.
Looking back on the finished article there are some shots I would re-sequence, and some edits I would make faster to help the narrative, but as a first go I am pleased with how this concept worked.
If the right idea comes up I am very keen to make more films like this.
